Opening for Legal Secretary

We are looking for candidates to fill two different positions here at OPN LAW.

FULL TIME LEGAL SECRETARY

The first position is as a full-time legal secretary in our corporate law division. This position involves direct client contact and requires a professional approach to service. Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office, is a must. Experience with Tabs3, PracticeMaster, HotDocs, Worldox is a plus. Law firm experience preferred. Excellent communication, proofreading, organizational, grammar and spelling skills required. PREVIOUS LEGAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Excellent benefits.

Assisting attorney with real estate closings and preparation of documents. Manages registered agent filings and set up of LLCs and corporations. Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation. Logs, dockets, and schedules hearings; prepares notices of hearings and sends to interested parties. Composes routine letters and memoranda and prepares reports using knowledge of work area instructions and guidelines. Reviews legal documents to ensure they are in proper format and contain all necessary portions or related documents for court acceptance; files legal documents with proper courts. Prepares trial notebooks and exhibits listings for assigned attorney(s)’ case presentation. Prepares and assembles materials, documents, and exhibits for meetings, court appearances, and hearings.

PART TIME LEGAL SECRETARY

The second position is as a part-time legal secretary in our corporate/real estate law division to join our team. Hours will range from 25-30 hours per week. This position involves direct client contact and requires a professional approach to service. Computer proficiency, particularly with MS Office, is a must. Experience with Tabs3, PracticeMaster, HotDocs, Worldox is a plus. Law firm experience preferred. Excellent communication, proofreading, organizational, grammar and spelling skills required.
