Andrew joined OPN Law as an Associate Attorney in August 2021 following a two-year clerkship with the Virginia Beach Circuit Court, where he served as the law clerk to the Hon. Kevin M. Duffan and the Hon. James C. Lewis. Andrew’s practice is primarily focused in the areas of general corporate and business law, real estate, and trusts and estates planning and administration, and his experience as a law clerk allows him to assist with matters related to domestic law, elder law, and personal injury. Andrew is eager to further develop and refine his practice in the coming years.
Andrew is a native of Joliet, Illinois, where he attended Joliet Catholic Academy and served as the captain of the golf team. Andrew then studied History and Political Science at the University of Missouri (“Mizzou”) before making his way to Lexington to study law at Washington and Lee University School of Law (“Dubyuhnell”), where he was a member of the Student Judicial Council as well as the Journal for Civil Rights and Social Justice. Andrew developed a deep affinity for the Great Valley while studying in Lexington, and this ultimately led to his returning to Roanoke following his clerkship in Virginia Beach.
Andrew values the general level of respect that the people of southwest Virginia demonstrate to one another as a matter of due course. He looks forward to embracing the comradery amongst those in the area and developing a reputation as an honest, hard-working member of the community. In his off time, Andrew enjoys golfing, hunting, gardening, and appreciating history.
