Biography
Yanrong joined OPN Law as an Associate Attorney in August 2023 after completing her studies at the University of Richmond School of Law. Her legal practice focuses on civil litigation, general corporate and business law, and estate planning and administration. Additionally, she assists in cases related to landlord-tenant disputes, construction law, and real estate. Yanrong is enthusiastic about further developing and refining her practice in the years to come.
With a genuine passion for litigation, Yanrong values the connections she builds with clients and thrives on the trust and responsibility they place in her. She often says, “I want to be there for people during some of the toughest times in their lives when they’re navigating court cases. I'm dedicated to guiding them through every step of the process.” Outside of work, Yanrong finds pleasure in nature, savors green tea, enjoys cat pictures, and stays informed about business news.
Originally from Beijing, China, Yanrong moved to the US at the age of 19. She pursued International Relations at the University of Texas, focusing on Middle Eastern Studies and Arabic. Her interest in political philosophy eventually led her to law school and to Virginia, where she pursued her legal studies at the University of Richmond. Yanrong has a keen interest in exploring the intricacies of daily legal issues, enjoying the intellectual challenge and lively debate they bring. During her time in law school, she held leadership roles, including President of the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board, and actively participated in Moot Court and the Journal of Law and Technology. Throughout her studies, she excelled in researching complex issues with real-world implications, particularly in the field of business law. She delved into topics such as US securities law for Chinese companies, developed business plans for European companies venturing into the African market, and competed in a federal income tax competition.
